Hello All!
It's been a long year since the last Bounty, but its back, and its coming up SOON! We've got lots of the great stuff that you've come to love about the Bounty, and some great NEW stuff to start some new traditions. Plan the weekend of November 19th and 20th around celebrating Blythewood and all she has to offer! Let's get to the rundown, shall we?
So, something NEW this year is the FRIDAY NIGHT, November 19th, gathering with some great American folk, food, and festivity. 'Anything Butt' is happening Friday evening from 7 - 10 PM. Bring the family, a lawn chair, and your appetite to listen to the stylings of the BunchQuitters and eat 'Anything Butt' BBQ from our competing Bounty BBQ teams.
The BunchQuitters play a variety of Americana, Folk, Bluegrass, and Cowboy music, something we Blythewoodians can DEFINITELY get into! Look for more detailed information and a biography on the BunchQuitters in a later post.
So we'll dance and sing and eat on Friday, then head home for a good night's sleep so that we can Bounty in the morning!
Bright and early Saturday morning, November 20th, we'll get the Bounty started, kicking off music by 2 For the Road at 9 AM and some great morning eats from our local vendors. We'll have lots of great artisans, chefs, farmers, and organizations selling some great stuff, all of which will be perfect additions to your holiday gifts, decor, or meals. There will be some awesome events throughout the day including Blythewood High School's CANstruction Competition from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM, the Iron Chef Competition at 11 AM, Michael Hearne performing from 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM, and great children's activities throughout the entire day.
And lest we forget the BBQ Cookoff! One of the major highlights of last year's Bounty is back with over 16 teams competiting to say they have the Best BBQ in B-Wood! Have a taste for $1, buy a pound for $6, or take home the entire butt for $30.
We're excited about this year's Bounty, and you should be too! So many people have already gotten involved, so let's make this Bounty the best one yet! Check back to the blog daily for updates and details, including pictures from last year!
